Hosting A Casino Party

There are many choices when you decide to host a casino party. Here are some thoughts about choosing a casino party vendor.

When choosing a casino party vendor be sure to choose a company that has been around awhile, at least 10 years. Many new companies just don’t have the experience to run a successful event, especially a casino party that requires a lot of attention to detail.

When you look on the internet you’ll often see three types of listings. These include directories of companies, agent listings, and casino party vendors. The directory listings include many new vendors without a lot of experience. Agents will often mark up the prices, and you’ll often pay double. Many agents have an 800 number and are not even local to your area.

Ask to see pictures of the equipment and if you may attend one of their casino parties. The best casino rental companies are happy to oblige. Some agents play the bait-and-switch game, and post generic casino table pictures on their website, so make sure you’re getting actual casino tables, not just table-toppers. I’ve seen this many times.

Typically, the way a casino rental works is that your attendees start out with $20,000 in play money, and play at any table of their choice. At the end of the evening they’ll cash in their chips and unused play money for raffle tickets so they may win prizes. You may even choose to have an auction to give away your prizes.

There are three choices when hosting a casino party. The first choice is usually called full service. This is where the casino party vendor does everything – supplies the Pit Boss and Casino Dealers, casino tables and supplies, delivery, set-up, take-down, and runs the complete event. It’s the best option if you want to enjoy your party, but it’s also the most expensive.

Alternative number two is mostly reserved for charities. This is the same as full service, except most of the Casino Dealers are not provided. You or your organization are responsible for bring in the dealers. The casino party company will still supply a Pit Boss to run your event. This savings will be significant, up to twenty five or thirty percent, depending on the size of your party.

Your last choice is just renting to casino tables. Delivery, set-up, take-down and return are extra. You’ll have to be Pit Boss and run your own casino, just like Donald Trump! For those of us who are frugal, this might be the best choice.

Now that you’re ready, it’s time to put on your own casino party!
